Set along the banks of the River Trent, the site’s canalside setting offered more than just a backdrop — it embodied a slower, rhythmic and reflective way of life in the city. Its waterside location became the beating heart of the brand, anchoring it in both geography and experience.

Brand Identity

Drawing inspiration from the natural motion of water, the brand was conceived to evoke a sense of fluidity, freedom, and an intrinsic connection to place. The name itself paid homage to the River Trent, while the creative direction embraced the calming energy of its location.
Current Typography
Custom Typeface

Developed for the logomark and marketing applications, embodying the continuous, graceful curves of moving water. This bespoke typographic style informed a wider visual system, with dynamic patterns and graphics designed to flex across print, digital, and environmental touchpoints. Every element, from type to texture, flowed together to form a cohesive, living identity — one that echoed the movement of the Trent itself.

Launch Event

At launch, we developed a suite of collateral designed for prospective buyers to take away — from printed materials to thoughtfully crafted keepsakes. To create a family-friendly experience, we introduced engaging activities for children, encouraging exploration and connection. 

A local illustrator was commissioned to create a bespoke map highlighting key places of interest in the surrounding area, celebrating the richness of the neighbourhood. Every element was designed to root the brand in its local context — ensuring the place, its people, and its potential were always front and centre.

To strengthen the brand and build a strong sense of place for those less familiar with the area, we commissioned area photography that captured Birmingham’s energy, character, and charm to showcase the city’s culture, community, and everything in between.

Alongside the photography, we had CGIs commissioned that worked in tandem with the brand, ensuring a cohesive visual language between the identity and the spaces themselves.
