A Brand
with History
Brand Identity

Positioned alongside Brindleyplace’s historic canal, Lockside Wharf demanded a brand identity that showcased its raw, gritty heritage. As Consortia Developments’ first city-centre project, the challenge was to craft a compelling narrative that honoured the site’s history while appealing to modern buyers.

Inspired by the building's industrial past and its canalside location, the brand was inspired by narrowboat signwriting with the use its use of drop shadows and typographical choices along with inky textures and worn materials.
Brand Storytelling

To generate buzz and encourage a sense of community, where we placed the brand directly in front of locals in bars and pubs, encouraging a positive narrative and building brand familiarity.

Alongside this, we developed a suite of sales tools from investment factsheets to hoarding installations that shared the story of the building and its historic ties to the waterway, strengthening its sense of place and purpose.

Photography & CGis

To strengthen the brand and build a strong sense of place for those less familiar with the area, we commissioned area photography that captured Birmingham’s energy, character, and charm to showcase the city’s culture, community, and everything in between.

Alongside the photography, we had CGIs commissioned that worked in tandem with the brand, ensuring a cohesive visual language between the identity and the spaces themselves.
